Christopher S. Randolph

Overview

Chris Randolph joined Hare Wynn in January 2015 and works primarily in the areas of class action and mass tort litigation. He is currently representing corn farmers from across the country in In re Syngenta AG MIR162 Corn Litigation (MDL 2591).  Chris has also recently worked on personal injury cases, a shareholder derivative suit, and an appeal in which the Eleventh Circuit appointed him to represent a habeas petitioner.  Prior to joining Hare Wynn, Chris worked for over three years as an associate at a large Birmingham firm where he focused on complex and appellate litigation. He has experience litigating civil actions in twelve states and has represented both plaintiffs and defendants at the trial and appellate levels. Prior to entering private practice, Chris clerked for Hon. William H. Pryor Jr. on the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

Chris has published articles in the Alabama Lawyer and Defense Counsel Journal dealing with issues that frequently arise in complex litigation, namely removal of class actions and enforcement of forum-selection clauses. Chris is also involved in community activities. He is on the junior board of the Horizons School of Birmingham and has long been a strong supporter of the Alabama Future Farmers of America, being a past president of the association and past alumni board member.

Chris is originally from Calhoun County, Alabama, where he graduated from Jacksonville High School. He graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Vanderbilt University in 2007, where he received the Alexander Heard Award for political science and received the Founder’s Medal for First Honors. He graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School in 2010 where he received the Joseph H. Beale Prize for Conflict of Laws, was a Dean’s Scholar, and was submissions editor for the Harvard Journal on Legislation.
